It is great being a Broadoaks Country House wedding photographer because no matter what time of year it is and in any weather, there are always lots of wonderful places to take fantastic wedding photos. Broadoaks Country House wedding venue combines 5 star hotel quality with the warm homely comforts of a cosy 19th century retreat. Set within 7 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland this 1936 built Victorian abode oozes with character and charm and has everything you need for a romantic and unique place to say “I do”.

I have photographed at several Lake District wedding venues and have to rank Broadoaks as one of the most relaxing and tranquil of them all.

Summer or Winter weddings are always a pleasure in The Lakes and this Lake District wedding venue has it all. An absolute gorgeous setting with a sweeping driveway leading up to the house itself where guests and friends can enjoy drinks and canapes whilst admiring the majestic scenery. Just a stones throw away from Lake Windermere with The River Troutbeck close at hand. Being set back from the main road provides a quiet and peacefulness at Broadsoaks Country House Hotel and you cannot fail to enjoy everything it has to offer. The drawing room is such a lovely place for those intimate smaller weddings and the orangery can hold up to 130 people. During Summer I especially enjoy outdoor weddings on the beautifully manicured lawns with it’s pristine white gazebo at the helm, there is also an area specifically dedicated as a helipad too.
