West Tower Wedding Venue, Ormskirk, Lancashire on a very rainy and windswept 1st of November. What can I say, as a West Tower wedding photographer I absolutely love the place, which is simply beautiful throughout all the seasons of the year. Surrounded by stunning Lancashire countryside and brimming with architectural character makes this hidden gem of a venue an amazing setting for your big day.

During John and Jurgita’s Winter wedding, the rain absolutely lashed down, the sun said hello briefly and the wind howled almost as loudly as the jubilant laughter of the wedding guests. Gorgeous flowers courtesy of ‘Flower style by Laurie’ and warm glowing romantic candles adorned the interior of this splendid and exclusive 1885 Lancashire wedding venue.

Everything was simply perfect for a day of fantastic West Tower wedding photographs.

Prior to the day itself, during consultation, we sat together and discussed wedding planning and it was decided that I would start my day after bridal preparations with portraits of Jurgita. This allowed Jurgita more time with her bridesmaids and also to be ready quite early for a portrait session. A great idea by Jurgita as she did not want any make-up and hair photos and preferred more portraits of herself in her beautiful wedding dress from Wed2b in Liverpool. It also took away the rush rush element just before the wedding ceremony and gave even more time to relax, whilst I visited John and his groomsmen for a few quick pictures in the bar area in their suits by Slaters Menswear, Liverpool.

Every wedding I photograph is unique to each couple and designed around their specific requirements which is great as I love variation and creating a different visual story for all my bride and grooms. Jurgita and John both loved my natural wedding photography with Jurgita especially liking my cinematic and dramatic style too. Ideal for those wedding album pictures that instantly wow your friends and family.

NO SUCH THING AS BAD WEATHER

The weather report for the day was 100% rain, though we were fortunate that it was actually only 99%. However there is no such thing as a bad weather day for a wedding photographer like myself and we took full advantage of everything the elements had to throw at us, creating the most amazing wedding photos for this lovely couple.
