crewe hall wedding photographY

I had the pleasure this Winter to photograph the wedding reception of Laura and Lee at one of my favourite Cheshire wedding venues Crewe Hall. What a magnificent wedding venue this stunning grade 1 listed building really is. Brimming with period features and sumptuous decor, every room and corner of Crewe Hall is filled with atmosphere and makes for great wedding photography.

The old chapel is one of my favourite areas to photograph and allows for visually stunning creative and eye-catching imagery. I must say that being a wedding photographer at Crewe Hall is a thrilling experience for someone such as myself, with a huge interest in period homes and architecture through the ages. Castles, Manor houses, barns, halls and more, I absolutely thrive in these beautiful wedding venue locations.

Now Laura and Lee did previously inform me at their pre wedding consultation that they were not massive fans of having their photographs taken and posing in front of the camera was a little daunting so bearing this in mind I approached there wedding in a very relaxed low key manner, however after taking the first portrait shot of both Bride and Groom individually and showing each of them the image captured on the back of my camera screen they very quickly relished the idea of having quite a few posed shots and we had so much fun doing them too. They informed me later that they were very surprised at how relaxed they were with having more photos of themselves taken posed and that it was great fun with amazing results. I always work to my couples brief but this can often change on the day as the stunning images are produced and the fun and excitement of their special day builds in momentum.

All in all this was a most relaxed wedding with fun, laughter, great emotion and celebration with a super couple who surprised me more than they surprised themselves.

I am already looking forward to my next bride and groom at Crewe Hall later in the year.
